2015 Trends to Replace Overused Designs

January 29, 2015 By Tessa

From huge and beautiful images to rich content, 2015 has plenty to offer to replace some overused designs and practices. Think of loading screens, stock photos, full screen photography, and image galleries with captions. These are overused to the point of overstaying their welcome. Boring. This year designers offer better typography, flat designs, and a lot more. Dramatic drop shows, logo clichés, and cursive text aren’t cool anymore. Some designs are actually regrettable (think of overlapping letters, self-portraits, and human logos). Background videos, hand-drawn illustrations, magical realism, and other techniques come to the rescue.
