Are You Spending More This Christmas Season

December 20, 2012 By Tessa

Christmas is here, and for much of the world, that means buying gifts, sending out Christmas cards, and decorating a Christmas tree. But all of this means money. Because of the current state of the economy, 70% of consumers may be cutting back on their Christmas spending this year. Nonetheless, holiday retail sales are still expected to increase by more than 4% this Christmas season. It’s easy to see how that can all add up – this year, people are expected to spend more than $400 on gifts for their children, parents, and family!

While the Christmas season is about much more than presents and Christmas trees, giving back to those you love will always be a significant part of the holidays. How much are we spending on Christmas gifts, cards, and food this year? Kremp Florist takes a look at where our money is going and how much we plan on spending.
