Overworked and Underpaid? Don’t Be a Wage Slave

July 7, 2014 By Tessa

Almost everyone has experienced burnout at some point in life – depression, loss of motivation, hopelessness, and disengagement. With tight schedules and competition for market share, many people in the developed countries are forced into overwork. If you are one of them and your workload has doubled, tell your manager or supervisor that your plate is full. Especially if they ask you to take on more responsibilities. Prioritize and take frequent breaks to extend your life at work. Truly, layoffs still loom, and it is better to have a job. But if you work 14 hours a day and you don’t live in Japan (and even if you do), you are probably working for the wrong company. If you are overworked and underpaid, this is certainly so.

Joining the Ranks of the World’s Wealthiest People

May 19, 2014 By Tessa

The U.S. is the country with the largest number of billionaires while Indonesia and Turkey lost billionaires. While this may sound like an unfortunate fact when we speak of geopolitical issues, ordinary people are not worried about the fact that billionaires may become millionaires. And obviously, billionaires won’t tell you that they are getting richer every day while millions of people struggle to keep up with their mortgage payments. The fact that commercial, residential, and business properties have increased in value, combined with favorable interest rates and low inflation, means that rich people are getting richer. For ordinary people, the question is how to become a billionaire? How about founding a clothing chain?
