Top 10 Celebrity Weddings on Valentine’s Day

February 12, 2015 By Tessa

Many stardom weddings took place on Valentine’s Day – Salma Hayek and Francois-Henry Pinault, Adriana Lima and Marko Jaric, Keri Russell and Shane Deary, and others. Celebrity couples choose this special day to get engaged or married as Valentine’s Day is about commitment, romance, and love. This special day evokes powerful symbols and images such as lovebirds, hearts, and cupids.

Celebrity V-Weddings

Adriana Lima and Marko Jaric got married on Valentine’s Day in 2009. Millions of men regretted the fact that the model is off the market. Unfortunately, the 2008 BDL Bedlam Champion and Brazilian supermodel split in 2014. Salma Hayek and Francois-Henry Pinault tied the knot in 2009. The wedding ceremony took place in Teatro La Fenice in Venice and Salma looked just fabulous in her Balenciaga wedding dress. About hundred-and-fifty friends and family members attended the ceremony. Liam Ghallagher and Nicole Marie Appleton got married on Valentine’s Day. They dated for 8 years and exchanged vows in 2009. The couple was granted divorce 5 years later following his admission of adultery. The District Judge found that their marriage was irretrievably broken down. Other celebrity couples also exchanged vows on Valentine’s Day – Debbie Hartland and Blaze Bayley, Raj Kaushal and Mandira Bedi, Sharon Stone and Phil Brоnstein, Prince and Mayte Garcia, and Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid.

Special or Not

Valentine’s Day is a special day to celebrate admiration, friendship, affection, and romantic love. Millions of people around the world send messages to friends, family members, spouses, and partners. Special cards and love messages are sent as an expression of admiration and love. Millions of individually designed and handcrafted cards are sent each year on Valentine’s Day. Many buy gift baskets, chocolates, flowers, and romantic gifts. Couples celebrate with a special meal, picnic, or dinner and luxury hotels and chains offer promotions. Marriage proposals and weddings are also popular. While some consider Valentine’s marriage proposals utterly clichéd, many couples love the idea of a V-day wedding. Obviously, getting divorced on Valentine’s Day is an idea that hardly anyone would get behind. But a V-wedding is a special occasion for commoners and celebrities alike. And V-weddings are popular for many reasons. For some people St. Valentine’s is a very special day. Marriage proposals and weddings on Valentine’s Day are memorable, special, and romantic. Some couples choose this day because they want to exchange vows on a holiday. Others avoid it because friends and family also have their own plans how to celebrate. Some people may get irritated. Still others associate V-weddings with stereotypical romance. And sometimes it just happens even though the marriage proposal wasn’t planned. Regardless of how you feel about V-day proposals and weddings, there are many couples that love the idea of getting married on St. Valentine’s Day. This year clerks share that they expect marriage crowds on V-day. Offices will be open during the weekend to issue marriage licenses. For those who don’t feel quite ready to make this important step – you can celebrate V-day with gourmet food or a romantic get-away.
