Wine comes in different flavors and aromas – spicy and savory, sweet and wooden, dairy and nutty. It is one of the oldest alcoholic drinks. The oldest wine in existence is 200 years old. Finnish divers found it on a sunken ship in the Baltic Sea. How did it survive? Experts explain that the bottom of the sea is the best place to keep wine. This doesn’t mean that bottles of wine should be kept inside shipwrecks, however. It means that wine outlives us. Or it was love. During the prohibition years, producers of grape juice added a label saying – do not add 5 lb of sugar and water because grape juice will ferment into wine. This was the time of the Roaring Twenties. Prohibition laws had been enforced in Finland, Iceland, Sweden, and other countries during different periods. We still drink wine.
