Prepare your home to make it more disaster-safe by following some simple steps. Homes in different areas need different disaster proofing. If you live in an area where flooding may happen you need to waterproof your basement and move critical items to the highest possible point. If hurricanes are common in your area you have to install storm shutters and reinforce garage doors.
