Chernobyl will be finally safe 20,000 years from now. Our planet will be a different place. Even today, processes and phenomena such as extinction and evolution, the global warming, the Sun-Earth relationship, and natural disasters continue shaping the Earth’s surface. They affect humankind and the choices we make – the roads and travel networks we build, the buildings we design and construct, the places we visit, and much more. Most words will be extinct 1,000 years from now. And many languages are endangered today. These languages contribute to the diversity of cultural experiences. Languages define our cultural and social environment and have rich histories. New languages will be spoken 1,000 years from now, shaping our cultural space in new ways. And there will be a new Ice Age in 500,000 years. Or we may finally leave the Earth.
